Cruise Line Fuel Surcharges

Azamara Cruises will add a fuel surcharge to all bookings for all upcoming sailings as follows: For bookings made through June 29, 2008, a fuel surcharge of $8 per person, per day, not to exceed $112 per person, per voyage, will be assessed for the first and second passengers in a stateroom. A fuel surcharge of $3 per person, per day, not to exceed $42 per person, per voyage, will be added for any additional passengers in the same stateroom. Bookings made on or after June 30, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $10 per person, per day, not to exceed $140 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a stateroom. A fuel surcharge of $5 per person, per day, not to exceed $70 per person, per voyage, will be added for any additional passengers in the same stateroom.

For 2009 sailings and 2010 sailings booked before November 10, 2008, the cruise line will determine on a quarterly basis whether fuel supplements will be refunded. Refunds, in the form of an onboard credit, will be provided if the closing price of West Texas Intermediate fuel is $65 or less, at the closing time of the New York Mercantile Exchange, two weeks prior to the beginning of the upcoming calendar quarter. When those conditions are met, an onboard credit will be provided to all guests on sailings that begin during the upcoming calendar quarter. Carnival Cruise Line will add a fuel surcharge to all bookings for all upcoming sailings as follows: For bookings made through June 11, 2008, the additional charge is $7 per person, per day, not to exceed $98 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a stateroom, and $2 per person, per day, not to exceed $28 per person, per voyage, for any additional passengers in the same stateroom. Bookings made on or after June 12, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $9 per person, per day, not to exceed $126 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a stateroom. A fuel surcharge of $4 per person, per day, not to exceed $56 per person, per voyage, will be added for any additional passengers in the same stateroom.

For 2008 and 2009 departures, if the price of light sweet crude oil according to NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) is $70 per barrel or less at the 2:30 p.m. close of business as reported by Reuters on each of the 25 consecutive trading days ending five trading days prior to the guest's cruise departure date, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit. Guests who book a 2010 cruise prior to October 31, 2008, will be charged the current fuel supplement but will also be eligible for a refund of the fuel supplement in accordance with the same fuel price conditions that are being implemented for the 2008 and 2009 departures. This process will be automatic--passengers will not need to apply for the onboard credit or try to track the price of oil themselves. For all 2010 sailings, bookings made on or after October 31, 2008 will not be charged a fuel surcharge.

Bookings made on or after June 23, 2008 for sailings in 2008 and 2009 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $15 per guest, per day. Guests who book a 2009 Alaska itinerary and pay in full by December 12, 2008 will be exempt from the fuel surcharge.

Crystal Cruises will add a fuel surcharge to all bookings for all 2008 and 2009 sailings as follows: For bookings made through June 22, 2008, the surcharge is $7 per person, per day, applicable to all passengers. Bookings made on or after June 23, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $12 per person, per day. For 2009 sailings, adjustments to the fuel surcharge amount will be determined quarterly based on the closing price of light sweet crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange, as reported in the Wall Street Journal. If this closing price is below $65 per barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the upcoming calendar quarter, then Crystal will automatically refund the charged supplement, in the form of a Shipboard Credit, for cruises departing within that quarter. Olsen Cruise Lines will add a fuel surcharge to all bookings for all upcoming sailings as follows: For bookings made through July 10, 2008 on sailings departing through early 2009, the additional charge is $12 per person, per day, not to exceed $240 per person, per voyage, for the first two passengers in each stateroom, and $5 per person, per day, not to exceed $100 per person, per voyage, for any additional passengers in the same cabin. Bookings made on or after July 11, 2008 for most sailings departing in 2009 and all 2010 sailings will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $10 per person, per day, not to exceed $200 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a cabin, and $7 per person, per day, not to exceed $140 per person, per voyage, for any additional passengers in the same cabin.

Holland America will add a fuel surcharge to all bookings for all upcoming sailings as follows: For bookings made through June 11, 2008, the additional charge is $7 per person, per day, not to exceed $98 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a stateroom, and $2 per person, per day, not to exceed $28 per person, per voyage, for any additional passengers in the same stateroom. Bookings made on or after June 12, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $9 per person, per day, not to exceed $126 per person, per voyage, for the first and second passengers in a stateroom. Hurtigruten will implement a fuel surcharge of $6.00 per day per person for all of the voyages. The surcharge is per person in single, double, triple, and quad cabins with a total maximum of $140 per cabin.

Majestic America will add a fuel surcharge of $10 per person, per day to all bookings. The fee is applicable to all passengers on all upcoming cruises.

MSC Cruises will apply a fuel surcharge of $6 per person, per day to all bookings for cruises leaving between February 1, 2008 and November 30, 2008. Bookings made on or after July 1, 2008 for cruises that depart on or after December 1, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $8 per person, per day. The surcharge will only apply to the first two passengers in each cabin. For bookings made November 17, 2008 and beyond, MSC will not assess a fuel surcharge for cruises sailing on or after April 1, 2009. For customers who booked an April 1, 2009 or later sailing before November 17, MSC will remove the fuel surcharge from the final balance. If fuel prices continue to remain stable going into 2009 - as reflected by the price of West Texas Intermediate fuel on the New York Mercantile Exchange holding at or below $65 per barrel on December 18, 2008 - MSC Cruises also will refund the fuel surcharge in the form of an onboard credit to guests sailing on MSC ships sailing from January 1 through March 31, 2009.

Norwegian Cruise Line will assess a fuel surcharge for all new reservations made on all sailings. For bookings made between May 1, 2008 and June 19, 2008, the additional charge is $9 per person, per day for the first and second passengers in a stateroom, and $4 per person, per day for any additional passengers in the same stateroom. Bookings made on or after June 20, 2008 will be assessed a fuel surcharge of $11 per person, per day for the first and second passengers in a stateroom and $5 per person, per day for any additional passengers in the same stateroom.

For 2009 sailings and 2010 sailings booked before November 10, 2008, the cruise line will determine on a quarterly basis whether fuel supplements will be refunded. For voyages departing in 2009, fuel supplement charge adjustments, if any, will be determined on a quarterly basis. Refunds, in the form of shipboard credits, will be applied to all reservations to which a fuel supplement had previously been charged if the quarterly closing price on the New York Mercantile Exchange of West Texas Intermediate fuel is below $65 per barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the upcoming calendar quarter. Peter Deilmann will assess a fuel surcharge of $10.00 per person, per night on all 2008 and 2009 sailings. Fuel surcharges will not be charged for cruises sailing in 2010.

Silversea is assessing a fuel surcharge of $10 per person, per day, effective immediately, on all new bookings for 2008 voyages. The surcharge is applicable to all guests in a cabin.

Star Clippers will add a fuel surcharge of $8 per person, per day to all bookings, effective for all published sailings now through April 2009. The surcharge will be capped at $100 per person, per sailing for all guests from the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Uniworld will assess a fuel surcharge of $7 per person, per day for bookings on all 2008 river cruises in Europe and $10 per person, per day for bookings on all 2008 river cruises in Russia and Ukraine. The surcharge is applicable to all guests in a cabin.

Viking River Cruises will assess a fuel surcharge of $7 per person, per day, applicable to all passengers in a cabin, to bookings for all currently published sailings through December 2008. A surcharge of $10 per person, per day, applicable to all passengers in a cabin, will be added for all 2009 sailings.

Voyages of Discovery will no longer apply a fuel surcharge for sailings that begin November 14, 2008 and beyond, effective for new bookings made on or after October 28, 2008. Guests who were charged a fuel surcharge and paid in full as of October 28, 2008 will be offered an onboard credit or an upgrade.

Windstar will add a fuel surcharge of $10 per person, per day to all bookings. The fee is applicable to all passengers on all cruises departing now through spring 2009. A fuel surcharge of $8.50 per person, per day will be assessed for all bookings made prior to May 19, 2008.
